Mark brings thirteen years of experience assisting clients to claim R&D Tax Credits and other specialty tax incentives on both the federal and state level. He has helped more than one thousand clients improve their financial health through these incentives in numerous industries, including Architecture, Engineering, Manufacturing, Software, in addition to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Contractors. Mark also has extensive experience in Construction, Agriculture, Food & Beverage, and Life Sciences. In addition to working with BRAYN’s clients, Mark is spearheading the training and professional development of the BRAYNiac R&D staff. He has created and implemented numerous training programs related to technical, project management, client service, and industry-specific topics throughout his career.
BRAYN Consulting LLC is excited to announce the addition of top R&D Tax Credit Consulting talent, Mark Stapleton. Continuing a thirteen-year career in specialty tax credits and incentives with a specialty in R&D, Mark is joining BRAYN as the Director of R&D Operations and will oversee the day-to-day management and subject matter expertise of BRAYN’s thriving R&D Tax Credit practice. “I have known Mark professionally for well over a decade and also consider him a personal friend. With Mark joining as a BRAYNiac, BRAYN’s leadership will focus more of our attention on our clients’ needs and on the CPAs that are their partners in maximizing tax savings. Mark has a B.S. in Business Management from Texas A&M University, a Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law, and is a licensed attorney in Texas. He resides in Houston with his wife and two sons and is a die-hard fan of the Houston Dynamo and Texas Aggies. When he isn’t working, watching sports, or volunteering for the American Heart Association, Mark can be found dominating the world of Oculus/VR with his boys.
